I wrote Disappearance, a piece for solo violin and electronics, for Lina Bahn, as a personal reflection on the theme of memory and its gradual decay. Memory is something that has always fascinated and troubled me, as it shapes our identity and perception of reality, but it is also fragile and prone to error. I wrote this piece to express the emotions and experiences that I associate with memory, such as nostalgia, loss, resilience, and hope.
